Many things are affected by time and they deteriorate
considerably. While it’s true that good cleaning can keep dirt
and damage away, it’s also true that it’s never too late to get
back something we’ve given up on.
These tricks help us save time and work to achieve good
results. This way you can have all your stuff as brand new.
1- Window frames
Add baking soda to the frame and in a bottle make a mixture of
equal parts of vinegar and water. Sprinkle the mixture over the
baking soda and rub with an old brush. After cleaning the
remains with a damp cloth, your window will look like new.
2- Tile joint
If the tile joint is blackened, clean it with a mixture of
baking soda and vinegar.
3- The armchair upholstery
Make a mixture with 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 1/3 cup of
vinegar, hot water, 1 tablespoon of detergent. Spread the
mixture over the stain you want to remove. If you want to do a
general cleaning, use bicarbonate, leaving it to rest for a few
hours and then vacuuming it.
4- The grid in the kitchen
Put the rack inside a plastic bag with 3 tablespoons of ammonia
and water. Let it stand for 12 hours and then wash it as usual.
The grease will be gone.
5- Sink
Make a mixture with 2 tablespoons of carbonate and 2
tablespoons of baking soda. Moisten the sink you want to clean
and spread this mixture on the surface. After 10 minutes of
rest, mix 50 g of vinegar and 50 g of bleach and apply it on
the bed. After half an hour, rinse with plenty of water.
6- Microwave
In a bowl put 1 cup of water and a few tablespoons of vinegar,
put it in the microwave and run it until the window gets foggy.
Wait 15 minutes before opening the door and then wipe off the
dirt with a damp cloth. Any grease will have come off.
7- Silver
In a large bowl put aluminum foil, on top add hot water, half a
cup of salt and half a cup of baking soda. Put the silver
elements inside and leave them for 30 minutes, then just rub
with a damp cloth to make the silver shine again.
8- Oven
Put plenty of ammonia in a container and put it in the cold
oven. Leave it to stand overnight, the next day, airing the
kitchen well, clean the oven normally, the dirt will have been
removed and there will be no smell of ammonia left in the oven.
9- Cutting boards
Put coarse salt on the surface and with a scourer rub well. If
the boards are white and you want to get the color back, dip it
in bleach.
10- Chrome surfaces
Rub this type of surface with wax paper (the one used for the
oven), and you will get amazing results.
11- Carpets
Put an absorbent paper over the stain to remove the liquid.
Then sprinkle baking soda on it and let it sit for 10 minutes
before vacuuming. Finally, mix 1 tablespoon of dishwashing
liquid with 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 2 cups of warm
water. Rub the stain with this mixture and let it dry.
12- Car seats
In a spray bottle, mix water and dish detergent in equal parts.
Spread the mixture on the car upholstery and then rub the
surface with a brush. Finally, you only need to wipe off the
residue with a damp cloth.
